If you want an engine looks sort of original, i.e. a flat head 4, a
Continental 162/163 cuin would work. It's one of the most common
industrial gas engines around, the US anyway, and a really nice
running one also. I have a trailer welder and a fork truck with it
in them. Adapting tranny is another story.
