Location: IMC Peace River Park, County Rd. 640, Homeland, FL 33847. It is
located 4 miles south of Bartow, Fla. on U. S. Hwy. 17 & 98,
then ¼ mile east on County Rd. 640 (follow our signs). The
community is called Homeland, Fla. The park is 640 acres and is
located in Polk county.
Fees: Reenactors and Military Vendors(with meals) $20.00
Reenactors and Military Vendors(w/o meals) $15.00
One free entry with each military vehicle brought.
Notice: Everyone is required to check in before entry. Before entry, all
firearms and blank ammunition must be presented for a mandatory
inspection at check in. All blank ammunition must be in sealed
plastic bags or in ammunition cans.
With NFA firearms you must have the paper work for each weapon
with you at all times. Your paperwork will be inspected at check
in.
Absolutely no live ammunition will be allowed at the
reenactment!
Reenactors must be registered, check in and on site before 9:00
a. m., Saturday, December 6, 1997. Reenactors that arrive after
9:00 a. m., Saturday, December 6, 1997 will not be permitted to
participate in the reenactment events.
Unit Commanders: you are encouraged to register as a unit, with
all names, address & phone numbers of participants in your
group. This will allow us to have pre-printed passes for you and
your men when you check in.
EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN AT THE REGISTRATION BUILDING!
Vendors: This is an outdoor flea market. No "live" ammunition is allowed
for sale or display under any circumstances. Bring your own
tables, chairs, tent and your mess kit.
Please let us know if you are working out of a vehicle, truck or
RV when you send in your payment. The public will only be
allowed to enter the park on Saturday, but your main
customers, the reenactors, will be there all three days.
Motels: Area motel information is available from Ron Hickox at (813)
899-1776, the El Jon Motel at 1-800-533-8191 or the Budget Inn
at (941) 533-3151. Both are within 5 miles of the battle site
and local restaurants.
