I can assure you they shoot M37's. There is a chapter in TM 9-8030 dedicated
to keeping the truck from falling into the hands of the enemy. Explains how
to destroy an M37 with explosives, gun fire, etc. If I don't get mine
running right, I'm going to be reading this chapter a lot more closely.

<< My sympatheties to Stu. On my M38A1 I have the same problem. I've
replaced the oil pan gasket, the transmission bottom gasket, and the
transfer
case output yoke oil seal; all to no avail as I am still leaking oil onto
the garage floor. I took the kids to an air show and saw that they put
large
pans underneath the engines to catch all the oil dripping from the vintage
military aircraft; so I took the hint. I made up a pan and place it under
the bell housing after I put the jeep to bed, so at least I have a clean
floor. The only other solution I can think of is a .45 armor piercing round
into the engine block, but then I have to replace the engine block, so I'm
stuck with the pan.
