Hi Mick, have to confess a lack of Jeep knowledge first. I have GPA
in bits but I'm a bit rusty on the non-floating ones.

WOM = Willys Overland Motors maybe ? The " JEEP" on the cylinder
head I take it is cast on, rather than stamped in. It sounds like a
typical Jeep salad (lovely term) with a GPW chassis, an MB or
composite body, and a postwar engine or at least the cylinder head
(JEEP cast on is the giveaway) You should register it as a Ford GPW,
'cause that's what the chassis is, and maybe consider finding a head
without the cast on JEEP, apart from that it sounds like a typical
mixup. Should be 2200cc if I remember rightly, with differences (in
thou) of the bore and stroke giving 2200 for the GPW engine and 2199
for the Willys. Extra dash hole could be for anything, most old mods
were bolt-on rather than cut-in. Radio even ?

Enough guessing, who else on the list can help ? Gordon, Falkirk,
Scotland
