The manual for my 1951 M38 specifies "HB" brake fluid. Does anyone know what
DOT-x fluid this would correspond to?
Of course, there's no guarantee that HB is what's in the brake system now,
but I need somewhere to start.
By look, feel, and smell, the fluid now in the M38 brake system seems very
much like the DOT-3 fluid I have on the shelf. But I worry about mixing
fluids -- could cause more trouble down the road I think.
