Yes, But remove the starter switch, take apart and clean or replace it.
I had the same problem. I checked all the grounds,generator,new
batteries,new light switch, new ignition switch,new regulator. The last
thing I check (4 months later)
was the starter switch, and darn if that was not it. John Bizal

take it apart 1st and try cleaning.
