Given my ongoing problems with the starter motor on my jeep, I was wondering:
have any MB/GPW owners ever hand-cranked their jeeps?
Do you recommend it as a last resort in case of roadside breakdown?
Any tips on technique?
(I've heard that you should keep your thumb 'with' your fingers
- ie, not grasp the crank as would seem natural, to avoid breaking the thumb.)
