No. He is saying that having a vehicle in factory condition is somehow
"absurd" and does not deserve to be preserved. I very much see his point
about field modifications and totally agree with him that these types of
vehicles need preserved. That is why there are different classes of judging
at most major meets. If anything is "absurd", it is some of the vehicles
that are being passed off as "field modifications", not having a factory
class vehicle.
