That is definitely wrong. If you have an engine with a given cylinder
capacity, you can never get the same power without turbo as you can get
with a turbocharger.....

Well, depending what the situation is you are both partially correct.

Notice I didn't say education background?Mark Twain-never let your schooling
interfere with your education
If you want more power other than turbo or supercharged, what can be used on
diesel that will respond like nitrous to gas?
Caterpillar is playing with propane injection. Can you run nitromethane in a
diesel?
If both motors are the same bottom ends then its possible to get the same
power out of both turbo or non.(Considering what factories usually give you
to start with)
If you take a turboed Indy motor(which is specially built for turboes)and
pull the turbo off and try to get the same power normally asperated then I'd
have my doubts but I wouldn't rule it out completely.Who knows what has
still to be invented?
I saw a truck pull were factory dealers entered new models and between the
chev 454,ford powerstroke diesel, and dodge cummins, the chev was the only one
to do a full pull and out pull the others everytime.Who would have thought a
gas pot out pulling torqier diesels?
I also saw a real tracter pull where in the rules you had to use the factory
block of the tracter you entered(you could do anything to it).An alcohol
injected tracter was the only one to beat all the turboed diesel units
entered. The block was originally a diesel block but made to run on
alcohol. That guy had done what all the experts there said couldn't be done.
