When I was in the service I was licensed for everything from the 5 ton on
down simply by going on a test drive but the jeep required going to
training before licensing. A lot of that was due to us being 18 and
watching too many Jeep commercials where they would send them airborne so
we thought we could too. Today, I drive at least once a week 25 miles to
work in my 151 with no problem. Like any vehicle with a high center of
gravity you have to be careful on turns. We are dealing with a vehicle
that is not designed for the freeways. It is at home on the back roads
and there it is great. Use common sense and there should be no problem.
I'm apparently having amnesia on civilain numbers except the oil filter
is a fram PH-8a
