Ok Folks:
Well I went searching on the nerd net and found a company called ATK
who has rebuilt 235 motors with a 3 year 60,00 mile warranty on them (and
the price encludes delivery). They have 235 motors to fit 1952 through
1962 models with both hydraulic and mechanical lifters. Has anyone ever
heard of this buch before? My brother, an Alfa mechanic (a case of job
security if I ever heard of one), says he thinks he has seen there engines
before and that they were good but he was not positive.
As for the motors, I am enclined to take the latest hydraulic lifter
motor that will fit the existing motor mounts. I was interested to see
that the 1952 motors were listed as 6 volt motors so I assume they have the
flywheels on them, or is there another difference between the 6 and 12 volt
motors? Buy the way is the 41 a 6 volt? (boy I gotta get a manuel for this
thing). Anyway, they had a pretty extensive list of American made motors
so it might come in handy if you need a mill.
Cheers:

Morgan Blanchard
