I have GPW motor GPW 581. it is a Willys motor that was assembled by Willys
(has an assy date stamped into it and then sent on to Ford it seems. So there
you go: evidence that Ford used some Willys blocks early on. If anyone else
has found very early GPW engines that are made by Willys please post that
information so we can try to build up a database of some sort.
