Hi to everyone.

I don't claim to be an expert, or in fact claim to be a novice either in
this area, but I am curious to what people think of this.

Last May I was talking to some of the people at the Armed Forces Museum
in St Louis, and they suggested one way to better prevent rusting of
flat OD painted vehicles is to use a gloss coat of the same color on the
primer, and the top coat as flat. If the flat wears off you get a
shiner spot, but the paint does a better job overall of protecting the
metal.

Has anyone else done this or know anything about this?
