Hi List:

I was rummaging through a local antique store today and came across a
heavy canvas cover labeled "Machine Gun Cover, M-12". It resembled a
triangular bag with one side open. Date of manufacture was 1943, and it
is in unissued (like new) condition. Stencils, maker's label etc,
crystal clear. Price is US$20.00. I don't really know what this
is...the guy at the store said it was a protective cover for the machine
gun on a tank. (Arthur, I hope this doesn't constitute off-topic
posting; i figured I'd risk it since the guy claimed it was for a tank.)
I would be willing to purchase it for someone on the list if anyone
wants it.

There was also a long thin canvas bag labeled "Spare Barrel cover, M-8
Machine Gun" or something like that. Didn't see the price on that one,
but it was obviously same vintage and also mint condition... Contact me
off-list if you're interested in either...
