[MV] Reality Check

Hello Folks, Boy, Did I raise some eyebrows with my comment posted from
this morning! First, I meant no disrespect to any member or anyone else. I
see some comments that I feel must be addressed. One, I like weapons and
also like machine guns. The media always has a feeding frenzy when things
like Colorado crop up. I also like to think there is a time and place for
everything. If you want (or
would like to own one) to find a machine gun, there are places to go for
these products, ie; "Machine Gun News", just for example to find out. Also
ask a gun store if you are interested, but NOT on a chat group. (I'm sure
the host of this chat group will agree with me on this one) On the gent
wanting the deuce, I think he asked what does good/poor condition mean.
Much of the DRMO's are organized by civilians. You will find out that you
CANNOT go by any descriptions of any products offered by a DRMO. If he
wants to know what to look for in a duece, say, "Find one that runs!" I
personally would not give anyone "fatherly advice" on how to buy a big
truck. If they don't know and still want one, take a mechanic along with
you. I guess what tipped me "over the edge" was the one asking if a jeep is
worth $2000, because he is used to paying $500 for one. He should be
receiving "Military Vehicles" and "Supply Line". These are great
educational digests. What also didn't help was the person who thought my
extra nice M38A1 was worth only $400! He also got mad because I wouldn't
sell it to him for that amount. He quoted all of the nice jeeps he had
purchased for less than that. (if talk is cheap, he surely got his
wholesale) True, there are no dumb questions but I still think there is
nothing better than common sense and skill in judgement. These opinions
are my own and take responsibility for what I say.

By the way, I did receive many private comments, of which I do appreciate.
It lets me know if anyone reads them. They were running about 40% for and
60% against my opinion. I would have felt better if it was 50%! What I
stated was an opinion and certainly not meant to be a slam. I want to see
this hobby grow more and see people get interested in MV's. The best way is
to buy a jeep (start small) and get to know "the people". Enjoy! Oh yeah,
someone did ask where the $44 jeep was! Sincerely, Julian Burke
