I would like to point out that this discussion has centered around US
made vehicles and goods. While I can understand most of the listers
interests fall within the US made catagory, there are those of us who
happen to be involved with foreign-made equipment. In my case that is
British wheeled vehicles, mostly Ferrets.

It is the function of the executive branch to enforce the law. Even
though the Arms Export Control Act has been on the books for some time,
it has not been enforced evenly, if at all. Many times people in
government do not exercise all the authority at their disposal, waiting
instead for what they perceive as the "right time."

It has taken this long to get a President who is willing to enforce this
questionable law. It has taken a long time to get a president with this
much arrogance.

I would also point out that while the decision to disallow the
importation of US made goods of any kind, the State Department is still
"studying" the question of allowing importation of foreign-made vehicles.

B.S. They are not studying anything. They have been told by the
president to SAY they are studying the situation, and then do nothing at
all, thus effectively prohibiting importation.

Please do not for a moment believe we are dealing with ethical people.
This administration is doing everything it can to keep military goods of
any kind from being owned by private citizens.

Also, do not beleive for a moment that they are not searching for a way
to take away what we already have. Their attitude about firearms
carries over directly to military vehicles as they view both as arms.
