Re: [MV] Moron Alert!

I'm not saying that EVERY police officer is going to react badly to an MV
with full weapons mount out. I'm saying that it is the responsibility of
the MV owner/operator to avoid giving the local law enforcement any reason
to think that this big armed and armored monster poses a threat.

It is simply an awareness issue. Were I to call up the local sheriff and
tell him, "I'd like to arrange for a demonstration of my Marine Corps
Reserve Unit's Counter Terrorist Team, and I'd like to stage it at the
County Courthouse." We might have to jockey around a few issues, but in
the end, when the smoke grenades died down, and the blanks were all fired,
my Marines might even get a standing ovation from the onlookers, and their
names in the paper.
On the other hand, if I were just to show up and conduct the excercise,
with black masks and MP-5s, how many of my people would get blown away by
the county sheriff and his deputies? Would you car to lay a wager on who
was in the wrong and who was in the right?
Simply a matter of common sense.

Is this horse dead yet?
