Hi everyone,
I feel like I found some treasure
I found a cool old military truck today near Vancouver Canada.
It is owned by a little old lady who had it left to her after her husband
died.
She is dieing to get rid of it for $500 Canadian (about $300. US)
I don't know too much about these trucks but I think it is what is called
Canadian Military Pattern.
You know....the truck with the pug nose and the boxy corners.
It is a 1940 General Motors 4X2 Right hand drive pick up style cargo truck
(1/2 Ton?).
The body is in quite good shape but the motor is not running.
Very little rust. No rust holes that I could see.
The doors open and shut real well.
It seems to all be there. It even still has the seats and rifle holders.
I could see the original numbers showing through the faded farm yard paint
job.
I coppied the info off of the data plate. It says:

"General Motors Of Canada
Oshawa Walkerville Regina
Model 84-20
Serial 22842001330
Engine 3766091 Body serial 300
Trim MR Paint F.C. 9D"

I'm a jeep guy so I know nothing about these trucks but I can't help but
think that it is a good deal.
It's got to be worth that just for parts alone.
Anyone interested?
I will try to find out more info for you if you like.
It would be a shame to let it waste away.
What do you think it's worth?
What can anyone tell me about these trucks?
Kerry
