REAL poor performance, and truck dies (as if running out of fuel)...
Lots of upper engine noise after engine is warm, noise increases as engine is
loaded.
Drain year old fuel, and change fuel filters....NOTHING CHANGES!!!
engine cool, no noise, engine warms, then upper engine noise, LOTS OF SMOKE,
still won't start without flame heater and lots of cranking, OR small shot of
either and it fires right up. Performance still leaves something to be
desired. Still some time dies under load (as if runnning out of fuel). Load
in question is the 20,000 pound weight of truck (M292A2).
I have in stock the following spares...
1 sleeve and cylinder kit
1 head gasket set
1 injection pump
1 complete LDT465 (which I have earmarked for another project and really
would rather not use on this)
What I need is words of wisdom from list, wrench turning starts this weekend.
