Your local Sales Contracting Officer sounds like a smart arse p*ss-taker.
.....unless he/she is utterly stupid (or new to the job) ......which I would
doubt.
There is no such thing as a separate frame-and-body (unless these are 1950's
experimental M151s.... which I doubt even more).

As far as advice goes, if I were you, I would first of all check the time
you have available in which to complete the demil procedure. Then check the
IFB to see EXACTLY what it says about demil procedure. Then, if necessary,
take as many friends as you can with you, all armed with toolkits, and strip
each mutt down systematically, to the last nut & bolt. Put the contents of
each mutt on a separate pallet for future identification.
If the SCO allows you to remove the suspensions from the bodies, do it, even
if you have to cut them later. If you are forced into cutting the
driveshafts, make sure you keep the UJ-ends. Tape the output shafts to the
transmission so that gear-oil doesn't spill out everywhere.
Most important, if you are allowed to cut the bodies, rather than crush
them, plan on cutting each truck so that the body half (or quarter) is cut
larger on one truck and smaller on the next.... that way you may be able to
get someone to rejoin maybe two out of the five without any loss of
metal.......... (DRMS regs state that torch-cutting should displace at least
1/2" of metal). My guess is that you won't even get that option, they will
just run a dozer over the stripped bodies.
Whatever happens, make sure that you pick the bodies absolutely clean of
parts and fittings before the DRMS insists on their handiwork being carried
out.
I wish I was over there with you, I'd gladly help on the dismantling (if I
could see through the tears !!!).
If it is possible to do so, and you have the time, please copy down the
details from each dashboard dataplate (Maker, date, contract no. US
Registration number etc) along with the body tag details (you know where
these are located????).
It will be most interesting to see these details...... and someone should
try to record this info besides me !!!! (any photos would be very much
appreciated too).

Good luck in your (sad) task.........

 Ken
