...yes, I know REME chaps love to tell stories, but the guy is perfectly
all right.

The left hand threads were used on MB / GPW wheel studs. The studs are
even marked with a prominent "L" on the head and the corresponding lug
nuts have a groove as a marking or also a little "L" on the top.

The LH threads are used on the driver side of the vehicle. You should find the
different types listed in the SNL-G 503 list.

Worthwhile noting, that also LH threads on spring shackles were used.
