Hi Ken:
You'll go broke using civy silicone brake fluid. The first auto store I
found that carried it wanted $11 a PINT. Most MV vendors have surplus Mil
spec silicone brake fluid at reasonable prices. My first gallon bought at a
meet cost $39 a gallon. I bought a Gallon at Saturn Surplus recently ($29 I
think) and at Aberdeen, bought a case of 4 gallons for $50. Check out MV
Mag and Supply Line.
There was a considerable thread on this subject 3 or 4 months ago.
Check the archives. Most important is DO NOT SHAKE or agitate the container
and poor very sloowwly to avoid air bubbles. The viscosity is very high in
the silicone fluid, and once you get air bubbles in it you are screwed until
they rise to surface of bottle. If you get them in your master cylinder or
worse in your lines, you'll never get a hard pedal.
My M35A2 had silicone fluid and a dry master cylinder but, since water
floats on top(usually) there was rust above the original fluid level line.
Below that line, everything was beautiful and shiny. Refilled the cylinder
and bled slowly and carefully avoiding air bubble entrainment and we were
back in business.
    Hope this helps.
Ron
