I LOVE THIS LIST!!!!!

A big thank you to the following folks who responded to my query (the
question I posted, not that idiot Fackovec, who is working on his vehicles
alone today):

Buzz Szarek, who verbally lead me through each step of this repair, with
important pointers, and encouragement that ya can do all 4 rears in one
afternoon (groan).

    Henry(ygmir) for the seal numbers.

Ken Engle for his input on his good experience with White Owl Parts.

Ed Morgan for his tip to check the vent valves on the axle housing to
see that they aren't plugged.

David Doyle who agrees that the outer seals crap out frequently, and
that Memphis Equipment is good people, in price and service.

    Jonathon who pointed out:
    1) make sure it's gear oil and not brake fluid, 2) Since it's a new
acquisition, tear all the wheels down and inspect everything and fix it
right once for hours of worry free HMV'ing ( oh, my aching back ).
     3) Bearings are available commercially, but the seals are tough. MV
vendors are plentiful and (usually) cheaper for parts.
     4) Commercial truck shops are gonna charge you for finding these hard
to find parts, so get em yourself, first.
     5) Both Antelope Valley, and Memphis are good dealers, and he has had
face time with Norm from Antelope at KC and he's a nice guy. Memphis usually
has EVERYTHING but is less patient with the hobbyist for obscure data
plates, seat covers and the like.
     6) Get a Budd impact socket for the wheels (already got the manual one
that's issue for the truck ) and that the M35 has Budd wheels ( I said I was
a newbie ).

General consensus from all is that ya don't need the wheel dolly (while
nice), just pull the wheels one at a time.

Thanks to all for their input.

Look for me at the national. Shouldn't be hard to spot. Limping hunchback
that reeks of gear oil. Write your name on the toes of your shoes so I can
say Hi !

Ron
