Could be an M-606 made from '64 to '68. If it really is a '54 then it could
be a Hotchkiss JH101 (France) made from '54 to '60. Also Mitsubishi and
Mahindra (India) made similar vehicles from '53 to '68.
Chances are Joe is right and it's a CJ3B, though.
