We could open the can of worms about water blasting also - I have done this
where you use high pressure washer and inject blast media into water
stream - it works very well and does not require elaborate hood and
breathing apparatus that air blasters do; and if using a large enough
pressure washer is just as effective, although is harder on sheet metal for
the force striking surface is higher than an air blaster. Surface rust is
tremendous problem unless you also inject something into water stream to
control this.
