I have thought about getting a ham license. Some of my HMV friends do.
I can pass the Tech license most times when I take the test. I will need
a Generals license (I think) for the BC-610 that I have to get for my
K51 Chevrolet panel truck.

I go to the local ham flea market (Hopkington NH) and ocassionally buy
stuff there. Each time I return, I remark to my wife about the abnormal
concentration of 'characters' there (all hams) and it scares the sheet out
of me..... Many seem to have missed out on social skills and common
dressing conventions and some may have believe that they live in old
England where bathing was done rarely. This is NOT a blanket inditement,
just an observation. The guy with the short model of a tower on his hat was
the prize winner this last May....

IF I get a ticket, my wive has permission to 'take care of me..." should I
become
like those described above if/when I get a ticket.

Required HMV content: In my HMV club we use CB ch4. Yes they are AM
and my CCKW is a major contributor to noise, but they have a couple
advantages:
Cheap, run on 12v not just batterys, you can talk to truckers, greater
range.
