The truck is rated at 5/4 ton, which is day dreaming. I would not pull
anything that was over 3/4 ton.
**** I'll pass that along to my buddy. From KC Mo. e pulled a tandem
axle trailer (no brakes) with my S10 on it, behind his M880 to Louisiana.
There we unloaded the S10, loaded the trailer with an M1028 Che.v 5/4
ton truck and a bed off of a M101 trailer onto it.
Drove all the way back to KC just fine. YES, a little slow, but the
gas mileage didn't really get any worse either.
They will pull just fine. Common sense driving made the difference in
the overweight.
