Jim:

As I recall from my brief sojourn as an Army enlisted type, the MIL driving
license had several places to list the vehicles one was allowed to drive.
There was a course if instruction for each vehicle type, including
tactical/combat vehicles AND civilian type vehicles (sedans, dump trucks,
buses, etc.). And, yes, there were publications for all of them. The
manuals nd training courses for tactical emphasized safety, but also included
a lot of "tricks of the trade" for each tac vehicle type. I wish now that
I'd hung onto sme of those manuals. I gave them to other drivers when I got
into Army flight school to become a helicopter pilot. Talk anbout training
and tech manuals!!! LOL!!
