If your vehicle rolls, flips, or any variation thereof you do not want to
"get thrown" out of the vehicle as there is a very high probability of
death. Instead ride it out, and only exit the vehicle once it comes to a
complete stop. This is something that any combat driving instructor will teach.

If you think you might encounter a situation where you might find yourself
flip, tipped, or rolled then enclose yourself in a roll cage capable of
supporting three times the gross weight of the vehicle.

In the case of a duece or 5 tonner you will need a moly-chrome steel cage
around the inside of the engine compartment and nose, along with a roll
cage around the passenger cabin. Also you will replace the bow and staves
with removable ones made of tubular steel, with cross braces, with at least
one (usually the one nearest the cab) being permanent attached. This is
also a good time to add an I beam for a trolley chain fall system.

While your at it you may want to slide the bed of your duece back a bit to
give yourself a place to store an extra tire, tools, chains, genset, and an
auxiliary fuel tank.
