Ah, so, yes Sir you are indeed correct, I must have misunderstood the
initial email. I saw that Ebay deal and it was sick. Shame of it is that
the guy could get a data plate legally and use it on that helicopter if in
fact the data plate came from a totaled helicopter of the same make and
model. Then it could go as a flight ready bird!

We got basically the frame member where the data plate is located on a
crashed Bell 212, filed for a rebuild, filed all the facts, got it inspected
and bought off and away the bird flew. Of course there was a lot of work
involved but that situation always amazed me and sorta stuck in my head.
