Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!!!!!

Ted is one of the legion of more knowledgeable members of the list
'lurkers', who usually contacts questioners 'back channel' with advice and
help that the rest of can also make use of. He, like many other 'lurkers' on

the list, tired of the stupid remarks of some of the folks here whose brains
are one lungers on a GOOD day. He doesn't make wise cracks, or crow about
how much smarter he is than the rest of us. He's what my Dad taught me was
known as a 'gentleman' during my formative years in the mid 50's. The type
of guy common back then who rarely swore or let on where he got the 'neat'
stuff he'd dig out of the garage or basement and gave to us to make our
games of army more authentic. Sometimes if we listened carefully enough,
you'd get some pointers on how to take out the kraut bunker on the hill that

seemed funny to be coming from a guy who was just a postman or electric or
gas company worker.
He is not only a thinker, but a doer, who worries at a problem and chews

on it, delineating the encountered problems possible causes and solutions
and TRYING out the different solutions until he finds the most 'elegant'
one. If he says something works, you can take it to the bank.
I've had conversations with him at several east coast events, and I have

to admit that after a couple of minutes of talking to him about a problem,
he leaves me in the dust as my eyes glaze over on information overload. In
my mind (what little I have), I envision him at an imaginary black board, as

he mentally orders the problem, asking questions and adding info to his list
and starts working on a solution.
If you run into him at an event, you definitely want to check out his
M715 and his wife's M1009. Some really neat mods have been made to both
vehicles. And they are DRIVEN all over the east coast and east of the
Mississippi, unlike most of us who drive our HMVs to 'close' events only.
Miss meeting him and talking to him at an event and it's your loss.
How about the rest of you lurking vehicular Gurus give the newbies on
the list , lurkers and posters alike, the benefit of your knowledge, and
experience as you used to give us 'old newbies' to the list back in the late

nineties. I know a lot of you are still out there in stealth mode. PLEASE,
Do us ALL a favor...

    BRING IT ON!

    Regards, Ronzo
