The switch is literally right above the pedal. It’s a white 'slide' switch,
with a 3/8" rod that the pedal activates.

The solenoid is mounted to the side of the transmission. Pretty sure its on
the drivers side.

It shows up as circuit number 55 (orange wire) with the downshift switch
linked to the throttle in figure F-4 of the vehicle schematics in TM
9-2320-289-20. It appears to be located in the cab, so I assume that it is
under the dash. The downshift solenoid is shown in figure F-3, although the
exact location isn't specified.

He means passing gear... from 3 to 2...I believe.. it is vacuum modulated on
the tranny with a control on the side of the inj pump.. RAM
