 If you will read my post I did not say the truck with full air brakes was a
deuce, I did say it weighed in excess of 26.000, and I never saw a deuce
that empty weighed that much. Truck in question is M123A1. The brakes on
this truck are 100% air and on normal deuce brakes are air assist.

And I would wager most every one has driven vehicle -at least for short
distance- with hand brake set.

I may be wrong but as I understand normal civilian trucks with air brakes,
the air brake cylinder (or pot as they are called here) is constructed in
such a manner as to apply the brakes in absence of air pressure in braking
system.

Any other discussion on this should take place off list.
