24-12 Volt converter on the truck.
12 pin plug and conventional 12 volt plug on the trailer for either vehicle.
Get a large electrical box and some automotive
relays that'll allow you to power switch power
from the 24 volt system to ground through the
relays to provide power for the various lights on
the trailer
For electrical brake function, you'll have to run
the brake controller in the cab so as to have
control over it's settings.
On 12 volt vehicles you run the brakes and lights as normal.
On 24 volt vehicles, you run the brakes from the
12 volt brake controller and the lights switched
through the relays powered by the 12 volt supply.
