This is a question for the members in the UK. I have been working on my 43
GPW, completeing the restoration to a 1st A/B Recce jeep but I have had a
hard time finding important information about things added on in british
service. The thing that is deviling me at the moment is getting the
information to build the proper mounts for the mounting of the No. 19 or 22
sets in the Airborne configuration. Friends in the UK have sent me grainy
photocopies of A/B jeeps with radios but it is not enough to do the job. I
know that there are two manuels for mounting radios into any vehicle, the
parts list which came with the kit, and the installation manuel which shows
you how to do it. The problem is I have no knowledge of the research
resources available in the UK.
So, the question is, Can someone give me a rundown of WWII archives in
the UK with some information about what they have available, and failing
that does any one know which archive I should contact to get the manuels I
am looking at at the moment?

Thanks for your time.
