When I purchased my M37 the previous owner put all new military NDTs all
around. This was done in October of 97. From May of 98 till present I
have kept it in occasional use but not stored in doors. Tarp wraped to
the ground during Wisconsin winter with some snow driving. I noticed
that the rubber has developed fine cracks on all four over on the side
wall area. My civi van has had 4 years on the current tires w/o ANY
visible cracks. What is the difference between these rubbers ?
I used a few times the spray on tire shiner just to pretty it up. Did
this hurt, help or make no difference ?
What can be done to prevent this from further cracking ?
Is this normal for this type of tire ?
