[MV] Quoted from WWII Discharge Papers I found today

Written on a War Department AGO form 100, otherwise known as a Separation
Qualification Record, under title description and related civilian
occupation,

"RIFLEMAN- Served as member of 12 man Rifle Squad in combat. Loaded, aimed,
and fired rifle at enemy troops and positions. Was proficient in use of all
Infantry small arms such as rifle, carbine, bayonet and grenades. Had
thorough knowledge of principles of scouting and patrolling and uas (sic)
familiar with tactics of hand to hand combat. Served 24 months in Asiatic
Pacific Theater of Operations."

On the top of this form, there is a little warning

"SAVE THIS FORM. IT WILL NOT BE REPLACED IF LOST."

Poetic enough for the hobby, don't you think? If you think it's off topic,
you have a lot to learn.
