While you are in the truck stop perusing the glad hands, take a look for the
little round rubber air seals that fit in the glad hands.
Black ones are under a dollar each and red or blue ones are a couple of
bucks each. They do wear out and they are very simple to replace.

slip around the donuts and goodies counter to the back of the store where
the truckers enter.

and air chuck setup. Sometimes bright blue, yellow or if lucky black (Army
had black or dull red from what I've ever seen, mines bright blue now

RED painted connector, then reach behind the tailight and looking away from
the joint (Don't want to blow dust in your eye) rotate the very stiff
(usually) valve till the air bleeds into the hose. Then with the truck
either running or not, fill to your hearts intent.

air in the system will escape, possibly in your face....(again, I look away
as I disconnect...)

others were issues whenever someone made a local procurement.
