Got a story for this................about 3 years ago. I was able to attend
the Mustang Gathering in Kissemme Fla. Over 60 mustangs, one in particular
was there but was being worked on. Seems the story was that he was having
problems with a new engine. Apparently he installed an engine that he
bought many years back, still in the engine can. Well he finally needed to
install it on his P-51. When they opened it, it opened like a well shook
beer can. It was full of water!!!!!!! Guess they ended up only pulling
the heads off and cleaned it up and installed it on the airplane.
Well it got it to FLA anyway.
